Income Generating Projects

Sometimes, a small opportunity can change the future of an entire family.
KCF’s Income Generating Projects (IGPs) are designed to create sustainable livelihoods, greater independence and long-term opportunity. Rather than providing short-term financial support, we help individuals and families build the means to support themselves.
For a family in rural Uganda, that could start with something as simple as a chicken or a goat. Livestock can provide food and income, while breeding creates something that can be sold or traded, gradually helping a family build greater financial security. For a child with a disability, ownership can also give them an important sense of contribution and status within their household.
Other projects include crop growing and vocational skills such as tailoring and vehicle maintenance. We identify people with the ambition to learn a skill, build a trade or start a small business, then provide the practical support they need to get started.
A kick-start towards a future they can sustain themselves.
